EPC Short Run is making its return after a 5-year hiatus. “Our last Short Run was in 2016,” said Perez-Carrillo. “We are bringing it back Retro style with the original band from our first Short Run in 2010.” The new EP Carrillo Short Run 2021 features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and a blend of Dominican/Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. There are three sizes available: Extended Play (6” x 52), Long Play (6” x 60), and Short Play (5” x 50). These unique names come from the vinyl records that Perez-Carrillo enjoys, particularly “Spain” by Chick Corea, which he listens to over and over while working on a blend. The company has said they hope to do a second production later in the year.
